Oil Salvage Limited is one of Britain’s largest hazardous waste management organisations offering an all-inclusive service covering collection, treatment, disposal, reprocessing and recycling of waste oils and hazardous materials

The company is an established, family company based within the Merseyside dock area and has been trading since 1986 and has established a reputation for providing a first class quality service to its many diverse customers.

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Box Wagon Driver to join our expanding team. As an Oil Salvage driver, you will safely, effectively and efficiently transport/collect hazardous wastes from garages and industrial premises from our national customer base.

  • As a professional driver with Oil Salvage Ltd, your primary purpose is to deliver a safe, first-class service to our many diverse customers.
  • You will ensure that the transportation and handling of all products is carried out safely, legally and to the satisfaction of our customers.
  • Ensure best care and use of the Company’s vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, including drivers hours, working time directive, roadworthiness.
  • Follow the day to day instructions given by your Transport Department.
  • You will represent Oil Salvage Ltd in a professional manner to customers, the public and colleagues alike.
  • You must possess a HGV Class 2 license and have the required level of driving experience, ideally you will possess an ADR certificate, however if you do not possess the qualification Oil Salvage Ltd will pay for you to complete the course.

What we can offer

  • Ability to earn £43,485.00 per annum.
  • Basic hourly rate of £14.50 per hour.
  • All overtime paid at time and half of the basic hourly rate for any hours in excess of 40 hours worked per week.
  • Regular overtime available.
  • Applicant must be prepared to undertake upto 2 overnight stops per week on a regular weekly basis, there is no requirement for weekend work.
