Did you know it is illegal to burn your waste oil to heat your garage without a permit?

Since 2016, the government has required anyone with a SWOB to get a permit for their burner to help offset the carbon emissions they produce by heating their site. 

Under Schedule 13A of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010, anyone with a SWOB must apply for and maintain a permit.

Firstly, you have to pay a £3363 application fee. After that, you are charged £1384 a year every year.
