On Friday 21st of July, we all channeled our inner Mary Berry to raise money for Alder Hey. And what a success it was!
We all showed up to work with our homemade cakes, cookies, desserts, and baked goods. Even those who haven’t been blessed by the baking gods got involved. There were plenty of classic store-bought treats alongside all the homemade goodies. All together we had a fantastic spread!
By the end of the day our stomachs were well and truly full, but more importantly, so was our fundraising bucket! We managed to raise £270 for Alder Hey.
Alder Hey is a cause close to all our hearts. As our community’s local children’s hospital, the charity has supported the extended Oil Salvage family for years and years.
Now, we want to give something back. We’re raising money to facilitate their new neonatal unit. This is a joint venture between Alder Hey and Liverpool Women’s Hospital (another cause we are passionate about) which aims to put their patients first. With this new project, parents and children won’t be shuffled from hospital to hospital. Instead, they will stay in one place with each hospital’s staff coming to them!
