As 2025 draws to a close, let’s take a look back at what’s happened here at Oil Salvage over the last 12 months…
Our fundraising efforts continued in 2025, as our team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September. The challenge took our team over Yorkshire’s three highest peaks as part of a gruelling 24-mile hike, which we completed in 11 hours and 50 minutes, narrowly beating the target time of 12 hours. We’re delighted to say that our challenge raised over £2000 for Alder Hey Children’s Charity for the 2nd year running, rounding off an incredible effort from our team to support a wonderful cause in our city. We’re incredibly grateful for all of the donations that we received in support of our fundraiser, we’re already planning our next challenge, so keep an eye on our social media pages to see how you can get involved.
We were also back on the road attending expos and trade shows in 2025, starting with The Fleet Managers Roadshow in February, before we returned to Mechanex and Automechanika in May and June respectively. Our final exhibition of the year saw us back at the NEC for the Resource and Waste Management Expo in September, which marks our 3rd time exhibiting at the recycling industry’s premier trade show. We’d like to thank everyone who visited our stand at these shows and spoke to our team, and if you didn’t catch us this year, don’t worry, we’ll be back on the road next year!
2025 also saw the continued expansion of our re-refinery and fleet, maintaining our commitment to a greener vision for your waste oil in what is our 41st year as a company. Our drivers travelled all over the UK, from Northern Scotland to the Cornwall coast, collecting millions of litres of waste oil, all of which is brought back to our re-refinery here in Bootle to be recycled. Finally, we’d like to extend our gratitude to everyone who’s been a part of our journey this year, we can’t wait to see what’s in store in 2026!
Please note that our offices are closed from 6pm on 23rd December 2025 until 6am on 5th January 2026.
